Hi everyone, As most of us are aware, difficulties surrounding the sourcing of a variety of electronic components is currently threatening the resumption of production of Charlie’s unique and innovative EF86 Pedal and the remarkable Hall & Collins Signature Echo which many of us are very fortunate to own. Consequently, my understanding is that, and for the time being, this has forced the unwelcome withdrawal of the latter from the market while the former has yet to enter the production phase despite design finalisation and successful builds of pre-production units. However, and not before time, there may be some glimmerings of light appearing on the horizon: www.designnews.com/electronics/good-news-electronic-component-prices-stabilize-inventories-easeWhat is certain is that any ongoing pessimism and negativity will serve only to ensure an unwelcome future outcome. We should try to remain positive and, to that end, do what we can to convince Charlie Hall and his chosen Manufacturer that the demand and enthusiasm for his excellent pedals are still there and, with appropriate publicity, will grow exponentially as soon as production, with or without any design modifications, can be resumed. Best regards, Mike

Hi Mike, That sounds like good news. However, I was told the Hall & Collins Signature Echo would have to be re-costed due to increased component prices. No attempt has been made to do that re-costing as far as I am aware. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie,
I imagine they are waiting for the markets to stabilise.
2023-2024 will be transformative years for the world’s economies. Take China as an example. Since the reversal of their unrealistic Zero Covid Policy we are witnessing a ramping up of their manufacturing output with the goal of increasing their GDP. That has to be good news for the electronic component industry and the worldwide availability of their products.
Regards, Mike
