Peter Bower a member on this site used to do them. I'm not sure if he still does.

You can buy 500m+ of 1/4" tape on Thoman or plenty of 7" 1/4 reels of tape on the well known auction site and splice your own as I used to with both my Cpoycats in the day.

In reference to splicing a tape from a Reel..that would be interesting..I did that for a friend some years ago. And he was satisfied that he had a lot of tape loops he could use. Now, comes the great question What kind of tape? The one I used was BASF LGR 50..not easy to find these days. And you need a good splicer and splicer tape. Sheendigs

Maybe Ampeg 457 as its lubricated, not sure of the bias requirement for the machine.

Hi Mike and Alex Several companies can sell good tapes lubricated or not. One should read on the Internet what they say about those tapes (That is...if they are good for Roland tape echoes). This company suggests this one..not so expensive ones vintageking.com/atr-magnetics-echo-tape-20ATR MAGNETICS ECHO TAPE - 25' LUBRICATED GRAPHITE BACKCOAT Unassembled 25' lubricated tape for traditional tape delay machines with splice tape Sheendigs
