Hi Guys Here is a neat little trick to prevent slipping on your guitar strings. I have tried it and it works..You do not have to change your tuners anymore (if you thought your tuners were bad!) www.uncletim.com/images/bobsmethod.jpgSheendigs

Hi Sheendigs,
I have been using this method since the guy who bought my old Traynor Amp at the beginning of the year showed me how to do it, and, I agree, it works well. Strings are a bit more difficult to remove than before (unless you have wire snippers to hand), but not a problem to me as I never need to change a string in the middle of a number these days.
Kind regards

Hi Sheendigs, Yes, it works well, but I don't use that method with Kluson style tuners as the end of the string goes into the centre drilled hole of the peg. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie I found this..and if you are using the correct way to change your strings..it should work..They also show how to string lock when using sperzel tuners. The funny thing is that the Sperzel hole is off centered..is yours like that? On a Japanese Fender Stratocaster I have here, the hole is right in the center.. www.specialtyguitars.com/sperzel.htmlSheendigs

Hi Sheedigs, The holes on Kluson style tuners have always been drilled centrally on the many I have seen. Regards, Charlie
