Hi All,
Has anybody had any experience of "AKG WMS 40 PRO Flex Instrument Set EU1 Wireless Instrument System" or "Sennheiser Freeport Instrument Set Instrument Wireless System". They are both around the same price (£130), and I wondered which was best value for money, or even if they work effectively.
Regards
Brian

No experience with either of these, but I use and can recommend this item - www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_tws_16gt_863_mhz.htm - which is a little cheaper and performs very well indeed. It has a couple of (what I consider) nice features. First of all, there is no body pack, the transmitter plugs straight into the guitar, thus allowing total freedom of movement (try playing behind your head using a body pack ). Secondly, the transmitter battery can be recharged by simply plugging it into the receiver. All-in-all, it's a neat bit of kit and certainly worth looking at.

Thanks Gents,
I had sort of made my mind up, however, that puts the cat amongst the pigeons, so to speak . . . decisions, decisions, decisions!!!!
Once again, Thanks

The transmitter on sheendigs model looks *exactly* the same as mine (other than colour). I'd hazard a guess they came from the same factory. Nothing new there, there's a lot of that going on in this business . Mine was certainly cheaper and the rechargeable feature is really useful.

Hi Graeme,
I would agree with what you say about the transmitter units looking identical, maybe there is something in the receiver unit that makes it more expensive, although I see there are 16 possible channels on the T-bone, that would appear to be more than any of the opposition, so I think I will follow you and get a T-bone, if for no other reason than its a saving of £50, to do the same thing . . . hopefully.
Thank you Sheendigs, for your help, it's always going to be a bit of a gamble, and you just hope you have gone the way that suits you as an individual best.

Hi Graeme,
Just got it out of the box and it worked perfectly, exactly what I wanted. Thank you.
On another forum I am a member of, there is a really damning report of this system, I am just going to post a reply, on my findings, I think the guy who posted must have been really unlucky, and got a Friday afternoon unit!!!!!!
