Hi Charlie Not sure if I can put this on the site if not please remove it, Ive just started promoting a friend of Mine Nick Walton, Nick is a classically trained guitarist that some years ago decided to branch out in his own line of hand wound guitar stings. His market was for the discerning musician that requires not only the best in strings but longevity as well. A recent convert to these long lasting, hard wearing strings is Mick Box from the British Rock band Uriah Heep, Mick is heavy on strings and demanded the best, he found the best in Wyre’s So if you’re looking for a line of top quality, hard wearing strings at affordable prices then please drop him a line, he also has a new line of beautifully crafted Piezo Guitar pickups for acoustic guitars that take only minutes to charge and will perform for several hours before they need a recharge, I’d never seen anything like it but the pick ups work and perform fantastically, I can see it revolutionizing how pick ups are installed and used and well worth looking into. I would like to help Nick get these strings established in the UK nick@wyresstrings.com www.wyresstrings.com/

Hi Rob, I feel that I have heard of them before, but if the name change is recent, then maybe I haven't. I might try a set and see how they compare with Newtone. If the teflon coated ones really do sound as good and still last longer they might be of particular interest to players who are using Elixirs at the moment. I see that they are going to also be manufactured in Canada, will your company be involved? Strings Direct www.stringsdirect.co.uk/ could be a good place to have stocking them in the UK. The name would probably become more quickly recognised in the UK if they are selling them. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie I know in the next day or so Nick is launching a new website it will replace his old one so the name will remain the same.
I met him last year for the first time and got the chance to try his strings, I use to use Elixirs until I tried these, the teflon coating is first class and really does make a huge difference.
Nick has a manufacturing plant here and another in New York, he has the Teflon applied here in Ontario and as a guitar manufacturer we use his strings on all the mid to upper range guitars, and thats after trying dozens of other manufactures.
I'll sen and email to Strings direct and see where that leads, Cheers Charlie
All the best Rob
