Anyone help with this one please. I have the Stockton Version of the Session Sessionette 75 combo amp - and well satisfied with it as regards sound. However it does have only one input on the front panel but has an aux main input on the back panel. This would certainly be handy if it worked but it seems whenever I input into this all I get is a buzzing i.e. this input does not seem to work at all!
Obviously I could take amp back to dealer I purchased it from but just wanted to make sure first if I am doing something obviously wrong. Any advice or experience of this amp would be appreciated.
Brian

Hi Brian, I am not familiar with the Stockton version of the Session amp. I would have thought that the aux input should work, unless it is noted in the manual otherwise. Have you checked that? Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie I'm familiar with the Stockton version of your old AceTone but I have not heard of a Sessionette 75 Stockton. Both the AceTone and similar Stockton amp were 100W. Could this be clarified.

Are you sure it`s an input, not a line output? What does it say next to the jack socket? My Roland JC120 had a "Main In" which was purely to bypass the pre-amp and FX and access the output stage directly. Do you have the user manual?

Just found this in the website; "Auxiliary parallel input for using acoustic guitars or preamps simultaneously with main input. Recording output with G12T speaker simulation. Dual extension speaker outputs." I think this is the same is my old JC120.

I have the supplementary operating manual for this Sessionette 'Stockton' amplifier which it states to be read in conjunction with the main sessionette 75 manual. It states its 'tone forming electronics are identical to the Session Ace Tone which was developed to match the EFTP programmed Alesis Q2 and Q20 processors. Stockton has been designed for players who use processors such as the Zoom 508, Age 1 and Atlantis ( I use a Magicstomp II). The stockton is a 60watt, The Aux in is routed via the FX loop, reverb, G12T direct recording output and M/Volume. and it has a Premium Celestion Vintage 30 speaker fitted. Channel B has different EQ circuitry and voicing from the standard Sessionette - specifically designed to produce the tones of the early sixties valve amps used by Shads and Beatles. All those words taken from its manual but I hold my hand up - much of it is above me as regards circuitarys but without sounding patronising I thought it more likely that I would get an accurate explanation from the site than from the dealer - who doesn't specialise if you know what I mean. Thanks Charlie and others from comments so far. Otherwise this really is a punchy amp and produces some great sounds.

Hi Brian, It does seem as though there is a fault. It may be something as simple as a loose or broken wire. Regards, Charlie
