Hi Mike, Line 6 makes or has made more than one model. I haven't written programs for any of them. In the case of the DL-4, it isn't programmable as such. Regards, Charlie

A little late in reading this but check out the Line 6 Studio Pro Echo rack mount unit. I have seen one in the flesh and it can be loaded. Whether it has the power to store the relevant info is to be seen

Hi Sheendigs, I cannot get your link to open a page. My browser (IE8) says there are no feeds. Hi Mike, I checked out your link which was sent to me by someone else. From there I downloaded the manual, it doesn't appear to have the facilities needed for the kind of programs I write. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie If it says 'done' at the bottom left of your page and nothing appears..there is a button with two green opposite arrows on your internet browser that updates and try to read again the page (called 'refresher') or hit F5 which does the same thing.. If it does not, write 'proline6 echo pro' in the search case and hit 'go'..Look at the headings the fifth one that says 'Jun 01, 2002, Electronic Musician, By Nick Peck A full critical review of the Line 6 Echo Pro, a unit that incorporates technologies from the company's DL4 Delay Modeler stompbox and Echo Farm vintage echo plug-in, adds several new algorithms and performance features, and fits it all into a 1U-rackmount box'..That is the article Sheendigs

Hi Sheedigs, I got the link to work this time. I do not see anything that the owners manual did not already tell me! I suppose I am used to reading between the lines when I am searching for interesting features for echoes. I have tried a DL-4 and I was not at all impressed. Regards, Charlie

I thought the echo units needed two processors to get some of the sounds you use in the eftp

Hi Malcolm, I don't think the Alesis Q2 and Q20 or even the older Quadraverb and Quad GT have 2 processors. They just have the right features available for programming. In my Mustang thread in Sound Files, I have just posted the lead guitar alone, exactly as it was recorded from my guitar, Q20, amp, and speaker simulator, with no additional processing or added reverb, just multitap echo and the right features from the Q20 to get the sound. Regards, Charlie
