Hi Peter, Steer clear of the Amplug, it has a design fault that allows highs to pass even though it has a cut to simulate a speaker above around 4-5KHz, the highs come back in at around 7-8KHz. I had a customer complaining about the clicky echo sound, after analysing a recording he had made using an Amplug, I could see what had caused this problem. It might be OK for general practising at night, but not for recording. Regards, Charlie

Hi kipper
I have had one for just over a year its not to bad does come in handy, my girlfriend got me one when our daughter was born.
I normally leave it on the compter desk and either use headphones or just plug it in to a small set of computer speakers (if its not tooo late) via the magic stomp. Ideal for quiet practice noodlings or when working out a new song. Ive seen videos of people on youtube using it with an amp for overdrive too not that ive tried it. As Charlie has said no good for recording.
Scott

HI I use mine with ear plugs, just for practice, so no one complains about noise. The only problem is the gain as to be quite high. Take care John H
