Has anybody else got this brilliant book on Strat's? It's by a chap called Paul Balmer and it really is first-class.
It's published by Haynes (in fact it's very much like those Haynes car books you can get) and goes into great detail about everything Strat-related.
Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I thought there might be some people out there who are missing out on a simply must-have book for all Strat lovers.

Hi Spike
Got this when it first came out and yes,it's excellent.
You are correct,it's just like servicing a car,for Strats.

Yep, that's the one. It's like the Strat owners bible - whatever you want to know about this legend of an axe it'll be in this book somewhere. Fitting pick ups, altering the action and the intonation, recognising the differences between Mexican and USA models, etc.
I built my own Strat based on a '57 and there's no way I would have attempted it without this book.

Got one from my daughter for Xmas. I'm surprised no-one has noticed that Charlie and his EFTP gets a mention.

Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I thought there might be some people out there who are missing out on a simply must-have book for all Strat lovers. Hi Spike, I bought a copy of this book a few months back on the USA Amazon site: www.amazon.com/Fender-Stratocaster-Handbook-Maintain-Troubleshoot/dp/0760329834/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1262139138&sr=1-1I agree that it certainly is a great resource. I can't claim to be an expert, but I have been able set up my Stratocasters to play beautifully, including adjustments to the action, tremolo and intonation. Also, I have recently replaced the pickups on my '93 American Deluxe Strat, something I would probably not have attempted before. Regards, James
