Hi Eric, Is your guitar set up so that it is comfortable to play? If not, this could be a major reason for less than smooth note changes. Having extra equipment will not smooth the note changes very well, it is to do with the playing style. Extra equipment can enhance a good playing style. The EQ settings will depend on the sound you have set without the EQ. The best frequencies to boost for a fatter sound are probably in the range of 600 to 900 Hz, and not necessarily all of the faders, it could actually be quite effective to increase one, then not the next, then increase the one after that. However I am guessing a little because I do not know the frequencies of your EQ. Regards, Charlie

The notes could just be choking on some frets. You could try playing each string on each fret, without echo, to see if the string sustains naturally.

Hi Eric, If all your sliders are at zero, then the EQ is not changing your sound at all. Try increasing 800Hz by 6 to 10db to fatten the sound. To reduce low end mud, set the 30Hz and 609Hz sliders to the lowest setting. You won't hear much tone change but it should sound a bit cleaner. To warm up the sound, lower the settings of 6.4K and 12.8K. To reduce bass for older Shadows tunes, try reducing the 120Hz and 200Hz sliders. Regards, Charlie

Hi Eric, Thanks for letting me know it worked. It is always a bit difficult to guess without having the equipment in front of me. Regards, Charlie
