Hi a bit of trivia here. Cast your vote for the above, mine is Werewolves of London for a vocal, if in the car, I make dive for the channel button and "A walk in the Black Forrest" would come pretty close. I guess there is more that irk me It was reported that Elvis Presley never thought much of Robert Goulet singing ability and when at Graceland watching TV and he appeared on the screen out would come a 45 cal pistol and send the set to heaven sending poor Bob up in a cloud of smoke, sparks. ;D So come on, lets read. Pour our your "hate" John M

"Lucy in the sky with Diamonds"by William Shatner,or "Surfin Bird" by the Trashmen? I kind of liked Werewolves of London. How about "Like a Rolling Stone"by Sebastian Cabot? Bill

Difficult to make a choice, I can't think of a "worst instrumental....maybe too many candidates, as for the worst vocals, it could to be any one of Jess Conrads records. But I think "This Pullover" takes the biscuit www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGESxjqHf7EKind regards, grip

Bert Weedon's version of Apache was pretty awful, but i suspect there is worse out there. Peter

Stand By Your Man by Tammy Wynette is one of my most hated vocal numbers, although it's more the sudden change of dynamics leading into the choruses that I really can't stand. The song itself isn't too bad, it's just the way it was presented. I am sure there are others that I would equally hate, I may post them later if I think of any. Regards, Charlie

This is the one I was looking for. I present The Legendary Stardust Cowboy, doing his original recorded version of Paralyzed! www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOnzjmZaxhA&feature=relatedIt was noted that David Bowie took inspiration from him for his Ziggy Stardust character. Does that help this record in any way??!!! Regards, Charlie

Will listen to your recommendations later Charlie but for now one which springs to mind having recently watched the film "The boat that rocks" is a cover by Duffy of "Stay With Me Baby", originally sung, I think, by Lorraine Ellison who made a magnificent job of it. Probably both on YouTube if you're not familiar. Awful to say the least!
Regards, Tim.

Hi Tim, I wouldn't recommend them! Maybe they have to be heard to be believed though. I remember Stay With Me Baby but didn't know who had originally sung it, thanks. Listen to Lover's Concerto and some others picked out by Kenny Everett: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V5oGfKmtW0I don't recommend any of those either! Regards, Charlie

Hi Tim, Marmalade used to do a fantastic live version of Stay With Me Baby. Only the original is better than any. Regards, Charlie

Hi Simon,
These are priceless Gems, in the middle of listening to them all. It has given me a new outlook on music.
Jimmy Durantes comment of "Barbara Steisland Eat your Heart out" sums her up perfectly. on the "Inka Dinka Do" clip. ;D ;D
Kind regards

Who can forget Lee Marvin's 'I Was Born Under a Wandering Star' in that gravelly singing voice? I guess it went with the movie quite well but as far as vocal quality is concerned, it wasn't exactly top notch. Len
