Hi,
I have this great CD 'Jarre Live' featuring Jean-Michel Jarre playing live at the London Docks. One of the numbers features Hank playing London Kid - wonderful tune. Anybody got the tabs for this piece - don't dare to ask for backing track also (but now I did).

There is a BT for London Kid on the Renato Vignocchi's "Io Suono Shadows" Vol.7 CD which I think is still available from Leo's Den. Look for tab here : www.911tabs.com/link/?4395731You can listen to a version played by my friend Gégé using this BT on his personal site : gtabis.free.fr/Musiques.htmlThere is also a studio version of this tune by Jean-Michel Jarre and Hank Marvin on JMJ's "Revolutions" CD. Hi Didier,
Thx for your answer. I have tried the 911tabs page suggested by you, but all I got was an invalid zip file - WinZip can't open it at all.
I also tried the other link, but I get nothing except from an empty screen pushing the 'London Kid' button - or any of the other buttons.

Hi Didier, Thx for your answer. I have tried the 911tabs page suggested by you, but all I got was an invalid zip file - WinZip can't open it at all. As "Telstars" wrote, it's a Guitar Pro file. It can be read by a freeware called Tuxguitar. I have done that, and converted it to the txt format, which I can send to you if you give me an email. The sound file is in the wma format. you need a suitable player, such as Windows Media Player. Didier

Hi all,
The file I downloaded from 911tabs was an archive file (ZIP extension) containing the gp5 file (I have GP5 so no problem here).
I could not open it using WinZip, but managed to open the archive using WinRAR instead so now everythings is OK.
I have also ordered the BT CD from Leo's Den - thanks for the tip Didier.

Hi Soren you'll be glad when you have learned this tune - its great to play. I played this Live at a Charity Concert in Stoke On Trent with a guy using a portable neckslung Casio organ. Sounded great and the audience loved it. cheers ian

Hi Ian,
Yes it certainly get's 'under your skin' - mine at least. I've almost got it now - working on the double stops, but haven't found a proper EFTP patch yet (Q20 new patch set). I've tried a few but don't seem to get it right. Could you or anybody else looking through this thread give me a clue?

Hi Soren, Try 0-41, which is used for Rider In The Sky. It is a RE301 Mode 6 effect which adds an short delay and probably get closer to this sound. Regards, Charlie

Hi,
Having tried out some different patches incl. 0-41 as sugested by Charlie, I think that both 0-41 and 0-52 are great for this tune. Well my ears are aging so you might find other Q20 patches appropriate, but 0-41 is good as a starting point.
