[Hi
A friend of mine is Interested in buying a Fender Telecaster Guitar soon, he has looked at some in local music store. He seems interested in the Japanese made Telecasters, has anyone any advice in these Fenders. Or which telecaster should he go for, I forgot to mention Years ago he injured his Hand at work and has stiff fingers so he needs a slim Neck /frets. He was my Rhythm Guitarist 40 yrs ago, and he retired like myself and has interest in Playing for fun once again. Thank you in advance for any advice.
Regards Ronnie

I can vouch for the Squire Classic Vibe 50's and 60's guitars. They have exceptional build quality and have a very playable neck. They also sound superb, and in my opinion are one of the best budget guitars ever produced by Fender.

Hi Ronnie. Over the past 10 years I have gone over completely to Fender Japan, I have a Strat and P bass that they can bury with me . Buying Fender Japan you must remember they put out different grades of guitars and of course prices, If you want to pm me I can give you their latest site and prices but remember Fender USA will not let Fender Japan sell outside. I deal through Ishibashi Music who I find excellent, although they state the guitars are "used" the couple I have got in for friends are as new, not a mark or chip on them. Hope this helps in some way Cheers John

Thanks Peter & John both for your input, anyone else can you help with info I can pass on to my friend. Regards Ronnie Ronnie, as you are in Ireland it may be of interest to know about McGuitars in Dromara in the North. I have bought a MIJ Strat from them and it was in really excellent condition considering it was 'born' in 1994. He has a store on the well known auction site and his own website is www.mcguitars.co.uk. He only sells Japanese built guitars as they are so well made. (Not cheap, though ) He usually has a selection of new and used Fender Teles, Strats and LP style Japanese guitars. Here's a picture of my 'baby' ... www.4shared.com/file/207110272/6b436f88/IMG_2102_1209_edited-1.htmlHappy shopping! Phil.
