Hi All,
Is anyone else experiencing downloading problems from 4shared? It appears to me that there is a deliberate long delay set between each download.
My apologies to those members who are posting their soundfiles, I do try to listen to and comment on all of them.
Kind regards,
Chris

Hi Chris, Yes, I have had problems too on and off for some time. It seems to affect larger files more so, unless it is my imagination. Also the time of downloading might make a difference. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie,
ithink the time of download makes the difference, I had no trouble late last night. During the afternoon I had 1 download that only came down at 8kb/s. I think I'll have a look around for a downloader that will queue them during the day and listen to them in the evening.
It seems that their servers are well overloaded, I have a free account there, and expect some delays - this is what happened with rapidshare when they first started. Apparently the same is happening to premium users too, I wouldn't be very happy if I was paying to join a queue.
Kind regards,
Chris

Same problems here.
I mailed 4Shared and they said there were no problems at their end, must be my computer. I've been getting the same, slow downloads as Grip.
I have to agree with John, 4Shared are not the most helpful of companies.
Cheers Barry

Some days I can click on the play arrow of a given track and it sits there staring back at me for well over a minute or even much longer at times, which can seem endless if I just sit here twiddling my thumbs. Other times and it's fairly instant. I guess any free site gets more activity than a paid-for one and the net can get pretty hectic between 5 and 7pm so this will add to the congestion. I tend to play, record and post the results between 11pm and 2am when things have quietened down - always been a late bird and seem more creative in the early hours.
Cheers, Martyn

When I try to play sound file, I also get no response, I'm not convinced it is down to the time of day, as I have mainly used 4 share between 3pm - 6pm, and not had problems, until last 3 weeks. Take care John H

I would assume as it's a site accessed world wide, there really is no "busy" time,as "peak times" are shifting around the 24 hr clock. Mike PS I too, am getting download probs I never used to have.
