Hi all I purchased EFTP from Charlie for my Zoom G2.1u and it sounds really great. All Charlie charged me was £15.00 for the program patches. I noticed a Alesis Quadraverb Q20 today on the well known auction site for £700.00 not programmed with EFTP. I admit I have not heard a Q20 but I do know how good mine sounds for a fraction of the cost both equipment and patches. I was looking around for Alesis gear compatible with EFTP until I found that Charlie had patches for the Zoom. Its not just the Echoes on the Zoom but also a VOX AC30 simulator that is built into the Zoom and also extra EQ that comes with Charlie's patches for the Zoom. I am not promoting Zoom equipment in any way but want to say to anyone looking for older Alesis gear and being penalised by the short supply and subsequent high prices. Try the Zoom G2.1u route or the other compatible Zoom gear. Good luck George

Hi George
Couldn't agree more. I have a Zoom 606 that I couldn't find patches for and didn't have the patience to play around with myself. Found this web site a couple of months ago, checked out one of the cheapest effects boxes that Charlie has programs for (couldn't justify paying hundred(s) of pounds for one) so treated myself to a G2 for Christmas and have been very pleased with it (and Charlie's patches of course).

Thanks for the reply Tony
Did you get the G2 or G2.u with the expression pedal ? The expression pedal is useful as a volume control you can use the pedal for other things such as wah but I set it for use as a volume control.
Yes very pleased with the Zoom programs for EFTP. Charlie Hall certainly knows his stuff.
All the best George

Hi George
I've got the G2 without the pedal as I think there are only a handful of Shads tunes where Hanks uses it.
With the G2 you can simulate the use of a volume pedal by setting the WAH/EFX setting to SL. Then you can turn the effect on and off during the playing of a tune by setting the 'Play Mode' knob to WAH/EFX and pressing one of the foot switches to turn the effect on or off as required.

Sounds Good enough to me Tony. I actually use the volume control to get a violin sound. I tend to put my own touches on things and use it in Wonderful Land in one part to get that violin sound. I do try to make things a bit more individual rather than copy exactly. (right or wrong) Good luck with it all.

Hi I am fairly sure there are 29 patches provided by Charlie Hall for this unit. That leaves 11 for your own patches. There are 40 presets and 40 user. get this confrimed by Charlie. I can assure you they are all superb. Terrific value in my opinion!! All the best
