Hi Guys
I am looking to buy a Quadraverb. I don't know a great deal about these units so any advice as to which model is the best one to go for would be welcome.

Hi Mike
Charlie is the best one to advise you but the Quad 2 or Quad 20 are recognised as being the best,if you can find one.Neither are made anymore.
If you really want one,the USA the well known auction site site usually has some but,be careful. You could even check out the for sale threads on this site, you never know.

Hi Mike, The Q2 is easier to find and almost as good as the Q20. You should contact me before buying one as there can be issues with quite a few of them. Regards, Charlie

Hi
Is it really a quadraverb you want or the EFTP sound.? I have a quadraverb 1 that is no good for programming. I started looking around for another verb. I also happened to have a zoom G2 1u. I got the patches for that from Charlie for £15.00 thought it worth a try for that money.
Thrilled with it !! Does want I want sounds great and much cheaper than a quadraverb set up. Just an alternative for you.
George.

As good as the Quads are (I have a GT) I would think a "buyer beware" warning should be given to any potential new buyer. They are VERY old units in electronic terms and new-old-stock spares, I believe, are difficult or impossible to obtain.
Many years of working on old cars has given me the opinion that it's no use relying on old, used parts. It's a good thing to recycle and 'cannibalise' but it's often a sticking plaster job. It's the sad way of the world that electronic devices have quite a short design life - as do cars I suppose - so people need to be aware of the pitfalls. Go in with your "eyes open". Charlie has already intimated problems - many will be age-related, just as they are for people!
