Hi fellow players I may keep on a bit but I feel lucky to be a part of this community where we strive to help each other. I was looking on the well known auction site for bargains as you do. There is a Zoom G2.1u secondhand and badly scratched up but programmed with EFTP for £139.95 plus delivery. I would hope the serial number is registered with Charlie Hall? The seller includes a few shads backing tracks but as we know these are obtainable free from some websites e.g Goran T. A new one from a supplier like GAK shiny new and boxed with free delivery is £119.00. Charlie charges £15.00 for the patches !! I know which deal I would go for. What do you think ? All the best. George.

Hi George, Is the seller patrick 150386? If so, he has never contacted me to verify a serial number. I do believe that the new owner, if there is going to be one, will find there is no serial number! Much better to buy a new unit and program it with my genuine patches, or look for items sold by shads_eftp, he always quotes the serial number and is a member of this site (shadsechoes). Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie The seller is, surrey_music_effects( 3289) I buy most of my gear from GAK they do a deal if you call them up. I got my G2 1u from them for £107.00 a year ago and they threw in a Zoom 9v power supply plus free delivery. As you may remember I got my patches from you. Very pleased with the whole package.!! All the best George

Thanks Charlie. I have only ever bought one thing on the well known auction site and that was a Luxman tape deck for £30.00. I will keep an eye out for the seller Patrick. Crazy that people can be dupped into paying more for beat up old gear with suspect non approved patches rather than new with your genuine patches. I think that folk believe the well known auction site is cheap just because it's the well known auction site. I know that some are geniune such as the site member you mentioned. Just have to use your loaf and check things out !! I do. George..

Charlie,
Can you not ask him to prove it is genuine? If he cannot the well known auction site must remove the listing

Hi all.
Has this Patrick150386 (and/or Surrey Music Effects) stopped trading on the well known auction site then? Only I haven't seen him about when I've been searching for various things just lately.
Can't say he'll be sadly missed if he has stopped.

I dont normally get into all of this stuff ( I just play) but this time I am doing my duty as a guitar citizen. That guy Patrick is still trading but most of his stuff is priced over the top. For example he is selling a ZOOM FP 02 pedal 2nd hand for more than a new one costs from GAK. Cant make it out. I keep finding odd things on the well known auction site now. Donkey 4910 is selling a Zoom G2.1u With EFTP further down on the ad it says it hasnt got EFTP and that it is was a mistake. Maybe Patrick tipped him off. There are bids on it. Perhaps we sould set up something on here for members to get opinions or even references from other members before they buy stuff on the well known auction site? Hate to see anyone go wrong. Just a thought! George

Sorry guys I meant to say regarding the well known auction site if we consult the forum before buying on the well known auction site we could isolate any potentially poor traders and identify any good traders such as members on here that trade properly and sell EFTP equipment quoting references numbers held by Charlie Hall i.e authentic goods and patches. Have a good evening and keep right on pickin' George.

Donkey 4910 is selling a Zoom G2.1u With EFTP further down on the ad it says it hasnt got EFTP and that it is was a mistake. Yep. I saw that. It's not the first, either. I have (to date) come across 2 other Quad's on the well known auction site in the past 6 months or so where the advert clearly states 'Featuring Charlie *** From The Past', and yet when you have a closer look it contradicts itself by stating that it doesn't have EFTP. Something not quite right going on here.

I had only seen the one anomaly on the well known auction site but your comments re the quads does not surprise me. The message must be, to be wary of the well known auction site unless the seller is one of our members. e.g "the stumble". George.

Sorry Stephen I meant to say shadsechos not "the stumble". I tripped up there lol. BTW great version of the stumble !!. My next number to do, just finishing off Hideaway first. Not as easy as it looks this Freddy King stuff. cheers George.
