Hi As I seem to have Problems getting a Decent Sound with my Vox VT 30 Amp, I seen on You Tube the LINE 6 (ver4) 75 watt Amp. Has anybody done tests with these Amps, eg.. How Good would LINE 6 ver 4 amp sound with Zoom G2.1 Pedal with EFTP. I just need some advice on LINE 6 amps. on sound quality as to Vox Vt 30.

Hi Ronnie, I have never tried a Line 6 so can't advise. If someone here has one you will probably get an answer from them. Regards, Charlie

Hi Ronnie, Tried out the Line6 amp in a local music shop but wasn't overly impressed. Many of the effects sounded too digital, for want of a better word. They lacked quality to my ears and after a session experimenting with various settings I gave it up and to be fair, the store manager agreed and said it was a budget amp with budget quality effects and although there were lots of them he didn't feel any of them really produced the sounds I was seeking. A jack of all and master of none. Some may disagree with these findings but that's how I felt when I tried it. Regards, Martyn

Hi Martyn
First of all THANK YOU for your Honest Opinion on the Line 6 Amp.. It was just I remember some members here using Line 6.. not sure if it was Amps or Pedals. I heard some sounds on Line 6 Spider 4 on You Tube..but most Demos I notice are lots of Heavy Metal and Fuzz Box Sounds never " Shadowy " Guitar Amp sound.. guess I`ll Stick to my Vox VT 30 at moment. Thanks Martyn again
regards
Ronnie

I seem to have Problems getting a Decent Sound with my Vox VT 30 AmpI have never heard a VT30, but I have a friend who is getting excellent sound from a Vox AD15-VT (using also a Zoom G7). It's even loud enough to play live with a real drummer at a club meeting in a 45 people room. Didier

My friend has the Line 6 and I plugged the G2 into that, I'm afraid I was not able to get much of a sound out of it (however I did not persevere long enough really). I got closer quicker with the VT (if that makes sense).
I have the Vox VT15 you need to drop the gain right back, I must admit the more experience I gain and the more I play the (for want of a better word) worse the VT sounds, I notice the tone & feedback more. Great for getting you going but I am not overly keen on the modelling amps anymore. Now my Fender 65R has gone back & I am getting a refund I am looking again for a new amp (all be it on a limited budget, so will probably be a solid state for now) just to decide if I get a replacement 65R.

I've used a Line6 PodPro since it first came out several years ago, and gigged with it continually until I retired. Always 100% reliable with a good range of sounds at the fingertips, and easy to setup to a very accurate degree via my mac in 1% stages. Since then, about 10-12 years on there have been many improvements and while I couldn't say how it compares in a back to back comparison with Voxes it gives me a close resemblance to what I remember of the Vox sound. I have the AC15, 30, and 30TB, Bassman, Twin and many more at the press of a button. It also has the ability to download other owners tones to if need be. So I give it a thumbs up.

Hi Didier, when you say AC 15 emulation, do you mean AC15 Vox Amp or one Drive in the Modelling Amps.., Thanks for your Reply.
To Pittnuma ( DC) Thanks for the reply. When You say Plugging the Zoom G2 into the Line 6 Amp, you did not get much of a Sound. Did you use any settings on the Line 6 or take off the Drives in the Zoom G2 Pedal, would be interested in which way it sounded...Thanks again regards
Ronnie
