Hi Charlie, It has been awhile since I installed the patches on my Q20 - apologies for the late feed back on this forum - the patches are fantastic!!! the best investment I have made so far. I am really happy with the sound that I am getting. I must also thank our local Guitar Shop for their assistance - Mike, Garry, Wayne and the rest of the staff - good advise given to me to create better recordings. I hope to post a recording that you have already heard and commented. Would appreciate comments from members on this sound file. Best regards, Jeremy.

Charlie, what's the difference on the echoes of the Q2 and Q20?, i have both and would like to know which one i should get the EFTP installed on. Have a great day. Scott p.s. is the difference of the new patches noticible to the old ones. I heard the old ones when i was in Toronto and was very impressed with the sound.

Hi Scott, There were some differences between program selections on my old programs for the Q2 and Q20. The latest versions give essentially the same sounds for both the Q2 or Q20, although programs have to be written specifically for each of the two units, to adjust for differing signal levels at the input. The only real difference is that the Q20 has a slightly cleaner sound and has a little less background hiss. The Q20 also can cause a hum problem when connected to other equipment because it is directly powered from the mains and therefore has an earth (ground) connection which can cause a hum loop. There is a way of solving this by connecting the earth signal to the ring instead of the sleeve jack output. The newest patches have improved Echomatic 1 and 2 programs, mainly with the EQ settings to give more of the Meazzi bark. I use and prefer the Q20 myself. Regards, Charlie
