hi can anybody tell me what letters in this strat descripion mean 1994 st62- as fender japan bmt. its the as and bmt that i cant figure out. i know its a ltd edition. . thanks peter

I dont know what the words mean although I googled and it came up with a polish or russian amplifier. ;D What is "top" supposed to mean.? All the best and be lucky. George

Hi Pete, Not too sure but you have a reissue 62 Made in Japan Strat ! Possibly built around 1994 ( what is the serial Number ? ) Does it have a 3 ply pickguard , old style Kluson type Machines etc.. The "as" and "bmt" I am very unsure about , are there any other markings etc "EXP" for example Are you looking at the heel of the neck ? where are these markings ? ... goto www.fender.comhave a look around or as I have done contact them and then phone them .... they are very helpful !! .... if you get the right guy !! derek thanks for the advice i will take a look, i have found out that bmt is the colour which in this case is burgundy mist. peter
