Hi Guys I was just looking at this rack and perhaps this could be interesting for some of you - very ingenious! Grab the pictures before it goes away: cgi.the well known auction site.co.uk/Alesis-Quadraverb-Q2-with-Echoes-from-the-Past_W0QQitemZ280464215650QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxq20100213?IMSfp=TL100213127001r6985 Sheendigs

Hi Sheendigs
OK Its the well known auction site and the item has sold for £400.00
What do you know if anything about the rack mounting that the verb sits in.? I would like one of those for my quad plus.
thanks George

Hi George I do not know anything else about what I saw. But it would give you some idea of building one for you. If you can find a good carpenter or somebody that can build one for you.. Sheendigs

I'm not sure but I think it is someone over on the Shadow Music forum that is making and selling the Quads built into a rack.
There has been quite a few on the well known auction site now.
Cheers Barry

Hi Alan Good!Surely you will get some interested parties.. Sheendigs Hi Alan, I contacted you some weeks ago via the well known auction site when you featured a Q2 in one of your units. You mentioned at the time that you would be considering possibly making these rack units. If that's the case I would be interested to inquire if it's possible for you to make one for me, and what would be the cost. Kind Regards Keith.

Hi George and Keith, Thanks for your interest in my rack cases for 1U and 2U units,as sold on the well known auction site. These cases are made as req`d at a cost of £60, and sold by a local amp manufacturer. I am a little behind this year, due to 2 MONTHS of sub zero temps, and have to get 6 guitars finished for the London Guitar Show in October + making amp cabinets at short notice, it really is great to be retired.....The rack cases are made quite heavy ,so as to be less liable to be pulled of the amptop in use, postage cost is around £8 uk mainland......
Regards.....Alan J

This would be fine on top of a Fender blackface style amp but I wouldnt try putting that on top of an AC15 or AC30 unless you want your amp to overheat!! and also the heat coming out of the vents from the valves is quite extreme on those amps and I would venture to suggest it won't do your echo unit much good either. The vents should not be covered. Much safer to have your rack unit on a seperate stand I think.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to say that following the original thread, I contacted the maker of these rack boxes and placed an order. The unit has arrived to day and it's absolutely spot on!! The unit is very well made and put together, and whilst not cheap, it does IMHO offer really good value for money. My Q2 fitted like a glove, and the whole thing really does look the dog's!!!!! Just thought I should let anyone who might be interested in such a unit benefit from my 1st hand experience dealing with Alan Johnson the maker of the units, who incidently is a member of this site Oakewell Fine Arts. Best Regards to all. Keith.
