I also found this site about a year ago. www.guitarbackingtrack.com/ I assume everything is legal and above board otherwise I'm sure it would have been closed down. They do have 35 Shadows backing tracks but I must admit one or two do sound very much like UB Hank, 'Diamonds' for example. Glen

I have to disgree with your opinion here. The tracks are good and not the common ones you find. I linked the page because there free, free does not mean poor. I listened to 6 full tracks and decided they were good quality and free being even better and some members would apprecite them. But you can't please everyone I suppose.

Hi Tony Thanks for the heads up I have bought several tracks from Ameritz in the past & found them to be professionally produced & very nice quality. Good to see a few freebies from them on offer. Several Christmas backing tracks there which I will tuck by for the big mans birthday ;D Hi Glen That site has been around a long time, I'm sure they must be legit. There are one or two little gems in there if you search

Hi James To be fair, I think Tonys original post was only concerning the page of free backing tracks that were on offer, not about what was available to buy elsewhere on that site. Free backing tracks are always welcome

Hi James To be fair, I think Tonys original post was only concerning the page of free backing tracks that were on offer, not about what was available to buy elsewhere on that site. Free backing tracks are always welcome Robert, I appreciate that, but maybe Tony should have expanded on his original one line comment in his first post, and not left it for you to second guess what he was thinking. I just put forward a reasonable reply to his one line post referring to "free backing tracks". I'm fairly proficient at most things, but unfortunately my powers as a clairvoyant do not extend to deciphering enigmatic posts ;D Robert, you mentioned "Free backing tracks are always welcome", absolutely spot on, I found a couple of really great backing tracks yesterday, but can't find where I downloaded them to ;D James.

Hi Tony and James, I have deleted 3 posts here to soften the tone of this thread and to remove comments I'd rather not see here. Tony's link says www.ameritz.co.uk/freebackingtracks.asp and it took me to a page full of free backing tracks, exactly what the link says. All that is free is on that page alone and the ones that have to be paid for are on other pages. I listened to the first one and thought it was good quality, although perhaps more suited for a lead vocal rather than guitar. I am also locking this thread as the link is provided (as well as the link posted by Glen) and I don't believe anything more needs to be said here. Regards, Charlie
