Hi Charlie/George,
Why can't the threads on the 'General' page be in order of dates posted (last at the top) to save the pain of scrolling down every time to find what you have'nt read? Must be a logical reason for this eh???

Hi Clive, It's because the messages at the top have been stickied so they remain at the top and therefore always easy to find. There's no solution for this as far as I know, except to move the stickied threads to a new reference section that I could create. Can we have opinions as to whether this would be a good idea? Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie,
I for one, think that's a splendid idea! Then the latest thread would be at the top of the page.
Come on guys!! I hope you're going to agree with me - then Charlie will do it.

Hi Charlie
I really don't mind one way or the other as (sorry, Clive) I don't find it a big deal to scroll down past the stickied threads - which are clearly marked - to get to the latest threads.
Going off on a slight tangent but still on the subject of stickied threads: I'm sure we've all noticed that the question of whether your patches are available for this unit or that crops up very regularly and frequently, usually from new members who aren't aware that the question has been asked many times before. So why not save yourself a lot of time answering each enquiry by posting a stickied thread listing all the units for which can be programmed together with the cost etc. The list could be easily be revised as and when new units become available or you no longer provide the service for the older units.
I daresay it wouldn't stop the questions altogether but it should save you some valuable time (I see you've done around 6700 posts in just under two years which works out at something like 10 per day - incredible)!
Cheers.
Tony

Hi Charlie
Following my earlier post I should have added that I know there already is a stickied thread on EFTP units but this has been running since Jan 2009 and is now 7 pages long so perhaps it's time to start a new one with a more descriptive title e.g "Units that can be programmed with EFTP patches."
Cheers.

Think a board for stickies is actually a good idea, we do some to be getting quite a few, soon the front page will be full of them on the laptop!

A new section has been created and all stickied threads that were here are now moved to the new section. Regards, Charlie
