Hi,
I've got a Meazzi - well almost, I bought the one off the well known auction site, the Factotum with the broken meter.
It's complete and apart from the meter and rust looks in reasonably good condition.
I'll post more after my trek to Scarborough to pick it up!!
Did you pay £470 for the Meazzi?
If so I had an e-mail earlier on from a friend who was bidding on it and lost it by £3.00!!

Well done Amanda, you could have got it for a bit less though BTW I scored another Meazzi 440 this afternoon, I couldn't resist it, I now know this particular model like the back of my hand ;D James.

Hi James,
I decided that I'd rather pay the Buy it now price than lose it, it's complete anyway apart from a missing ECC83 and if I sold off the mains and output transformers I'd get a decent amount back.
The meter needs new glass, I may have a meter laying around of the same shape and size, so that would make it easier, other than that a sheet of Lexan will do the same job..

If you require an ECC83, I have loads. I'm not sure where you live, but if you want to send me a PM, and hopefully I will post you one.

Hi Scott,
I've got a Binson Echorec2 in bits at the moment, needing a good overhaul, I've also got a transistor Echomatic to refurb as well.
Tony, I have plenty of ECC83's mostly Mullard, a friend of mine bought and ECC83 out of a nondescript box of unboxed valves recently, he tested it on his Avo VCM163 Tester and it was 100% each half, he put it on the well known auction site at £50.00 buy it now and an American bought it in about 2 hours.
He paid £1 for it!!

Hi Amanda, I'ts Tony Holden, the one who offered youy the valve,ECC83. I wondered if you had any spare Binson Echorec Record/Playback heads? I have been trying for a while to get some second hand ones, but they seem to be very rear these days. You seem to have a good knowledge of these and you maybe able to help. My best contact was with Marco in Italy but it has gone cold. So if you can help, please send me a PM.
Tony Holden.
