The sound is very good on the DVD, and so was it at the Palais des Congrès in Paris where I saw them, but I have read comments that the sound could have been better in some very large venues.

I still enjoy the Final Tour DVD - its clear that everyone is having a Good Time!! To answer Didiers comment about sound - one of the Criticisms of this DVD is that Hanks sound in what was Part One of the show was almost 'overdriven' compared to Part 2. It was filmed in Cardiff and a mistake had been made on Set-Up whereby Hanks echo Output control had been set too high. Usually the correct "sweet spots" of equipment are marked with something like Tippex dots (I know Bruces kit is) and it got overlooked and couldnt be put right until the Interval. To me it doesnt matter - the sound is "LIVE", full of Energy and sheer Professionalism. cheers ian

Once again, I read too fast, I thought it was about the sound for the Final Reunion DVD ! I attended two concerts for the "Final Tour", Brighton (2004) and Paris (Grand Rex, 2005), in both case the sound was good. But you are right about Hank's sound on the "Final Tour" DVD, Just listen to the final chords on "Kon-Tiki", there is an obvious saturation on Hank's sound... Didier

I really enjoyed The Final Tour DVD and I bought it not long after starting to play guitar in 2008. I do watch it now and again so I can study what Hank does in each song and then try and apply it to my own playing

On the Final Tour DVD, the overdriven echo output, to me, is really obvious on The Savage and Dance on, in particular. The version of Dance On on the Cliff & The Shads 50th DVD sounds a lot cleaner. The Final Tour version is still good, though.
