I noticed someone referring to the Club Area on this site but I have been unable to find it. As I am looking to see if there is a club in my area I would appreciate if anybody could point me in the right direction Regards, Maurice.

Maurice I think you might be confusing this site with the ShadowMusic site, which does have a Club area. cheers ian

Hi Ian, Thanks for the reply. The comment in question did say the club area on this site but I think you must be right as there are no links to any such site. Does anybody know if there is a Shadows club in the North West ? Regards, Maurice.

Hi Peter, Many thanks for the reply but Northumberland is a bit too far north, I was thinking somewhere in the Merseyside area. Regards, Maurice.

Hi Peter, hope your keeping well. No Shaddicts Club in Manchester any more - packed in c2009. Congleton Guitar Club next meet is March 19th. Starts at 1pm prompt. If bringing own gear get there AT LEAST 30 mins early or you wont be able to get your kit on. Just 10 mins from J17 M6. Nice crowd, tea, coffee, bikkies and smashing cakies . Backline available if you just want to bring your guitar. BTs (CDs only - no Minidisc facility) or own Walkman, ipod etc provided you have the leads and connectors to 1/4 jack for the PA system. Not a big drive from Merseyside - I go up from the West Mids. cheers ian

Hi Ian and Peter, Thanks for the info, I will certainly pay a visit to the Congleton Guitar Club next month, as you say it is not too far a journey. Regards, Maurice.

Maurice I'm usually there - (they even moved venues to try and hide from me!!). The lure of June's Coconut Slices and a bit of gentle fun all round makes me endure the 120 mile round trip and the joys of the M6. Its not the busiest Club in the world, but caters happily for all abilities and styles, even Singers get a look in. No not me - they put me on in pubs at 11pm to empty the place! Format is (usually) mixed - ie - play to BTs or live band - your call. There is a resident drummer Rocket Ron, who also lives in the Mist Wedlands and he can play most styles and knows lots of Shads and related tunes. Paul, the Organiser is a Bassist and between the rest of us we can rustle up at least 3 Bruces and at least one more Jet. If you do want to try something Live its best to collar Paul on arrival and ask him if the tunes are known and can be accomodated. Usually can. The banter is often dreadful - Pauls jokes all come from Christmas Crackers I am sure. Its all very informal. Cost is £4 for Players and £2 for non-players. If you need any more info you can always PM me. cheers ian
