Does anyone know if its possible to purchase individual Shadows backing tracks anywhere? Im after 'black is black'. The only one ive seen available is on the UB Hank Vol.2 so I might end up buying that if I cant get hold of a single track.

Hi Ian,
Torrent sites are the hosts of illegal copies of just about anything, including just about every virus going. Wouldn't touch 'em with a barge pole.
Kind regards,
Chris

No Torrent site is legal, no matter what it says on the page your looking at. Most of the time torrents contain virus or worms that can rip into your pc like dust in a storm. If you want to use torrents that's up to you, but I think you are treading on dangerous ground in doing so. Andy Its here but I'm never sure if these Torrent sites are legit??!! cheers Ian

Hi Ian.
It maybe an idea to remove the link to this torrent. None are legal.
With a torrent, the first uploader is called a seeder, others then take the file from that guys computer and they become seeders. By the time you download it, you take a small amount of data from the file and from many different computers and whatever else is also with it, worms, trojans and the likes. Its one of the quickest ways of infecting yours and others PC's. But I also accept some torrents are clean, but it does not remove the fact that it's naughty and does not help those who produce high quality backing tracks.
In the 1990's a UB Hank CD cost £40 a time. There now less than £16. There was no one else that did them in the 90's but these days they cost a couple of quid a track, thats hardly breaking the bank.
We need to support members like Phil Mc, Andy, Roger Paulson and Peter Korving and buy direct from legit sources. That way they keep in business.
This is no different from someone 'giving away' one of Charlie's programmes to someone for free. I am sure no one would ever condone that act, and it's no different to a backing track.
Tony

Black is Black is not on Gorans site. Go for the U.B. Hank CD's its worth collecting the whole set. For the serious enthusiast I think its worth it. Or get them one at a time. Andystrat does them at a discounted price for CH&F members. George.
Note added I agree that the torrent link should be removed !!

Thanks for all the replies, hope I didnt give the impression I was after a freebie, I was just wondering if anyone sold individual tracks!
I did purchase ubhank vol.1 last year and it is superb so I might get vol.2. I hadnt really studied the tracks on no.2 as black is black is a personal fave of mine but on closer inspection there is another one I love 'Blue Star' oh and not forgetting 'Riders In The Sky'

I'm glad to see that Ian has already removed the link before I had the chance to see it. Regards, Charlie

Hi Dave, when you hit Buy Now and it goes to Paypal, just put the Volume Number in the Coments box at the bottom. When I receive payment I will send a £1.00 refund by return Regards Andy

Just to clear the matter up, I wasnt inviting links to torrents etc. I was asking if there was a possibility of purchasing a backing track. I should have added from a legitimate source!

Don't worry Ian, it's not a problem. At least members now know posting links to these sites is not a good idea Andy

I have several different versions of the BT for Black Is Black. I haven't put them up onto the OzzieTrax website because nobody has ever requested this before now. I can email to you the demo mp3's so you can listen to them before you choose which one you like. No obligation to buy. Individual BT's (over 130 available) are just GBP2.00 each at OzzieTrax www.turningpointcd.comTony tonykiek@hotmail.com
