Has anyone in the group ever used or have any views on the Amtech echo units?
Cheers Barry

I had an Amtech AGE-1 as part of a deal some years ago. I didn't like it and didn't keep it for very long. It does have an analogue type of sound (although the frequency response is too high for what the analogue delays are capable of and totally unnecessary) and the wow and flutter part is good, but the compander circuits do cause a spitting sound on damped notes unless the echo tone control is reduced, this is mainly due to the frequency response being too high. More recently I tried an Amtech AGE Pro and it sounded a lot better than the AGE-1, although I didn't get the chance to test it for the spitting sound. Regards, Charlie

Hi Barry, I've had both the Age 1 and the Age Pro and like Charlie, the Age 1 did nothing for me. The Age Pro on the other hand, is an excellent piece of kit and runs the Atlantis very close.
