Hi There I just got a mustang I and have been playing with the echos. There are several..what I found the amp gives a good sound. But, you cannot control the echo on each head..there is multitap but the amplifier will choose the delay based on the first head. (Ex..if you choose 250 milliseconds..it will even apply that to each head). I will try to make a demo afterwards. The second grip is this one, I am also using the Fuse software, one cannot put two echo unit one after the other...It only allows one echo..or one compressor..or whatever stomp box you choose. One another thing to turn the controls on the echo or reverb that can be applied after the preamp...one uses the mouse..and it is difficult to control the right amount one wants. There should have been an option to use the keystrokes that allows the arrows to control precisely the value needed..as with the standard for windows. One good thing though, when you turn the controls on the amplifier..you can see right away the same on the screen. Sheendigs

Hi Steve
I dont own the Mustang III but I have the Mustang II 40 watt, and only difference between the III and II is wattage, on amp editing and speaker. Sound wise I find it very good for all music including The Shadows sounds. As Sheendigs mentioned the Echo on the Amps are hard to get right but , I turn them off through the Fuse Software and I use the Magicstomp with Charlies EFTP patches, also there are many downloads of edited Modelling Amps from the Fender Fuse Site, so you get a selection of Amps to use on the Mustang II and Mustang III amps. Hope this helps,
regards
Ronnie

interested to hear from mustang owners.
which amp sim do you think gives the best shadows sound? I too use an external echo box but find the reverb and compressor useful. The graphics are really good through the fuse software.
Does anyone fine that saving is slow i.e. when typing in a name for the preset and that on switch on it doesn't always go back to the last amp saved? or is it me?
thanks Stan

Hi and thanks= Sheendigs, Ronnie and Stan
Good off you to reply to thread, as from monday a good mate is going to lend me the Mustang 111 for a couple of weeks to try out, I have a quad+ with EFTP so the main reason for the amp is the amp modulater to try and get a good tone for recording and with the fuse software to enhance the tone even more, hopefully i will be able to keep you up to date on my progression, thank you. The Fender Twin Reverb gives the cleanest tone on the Mustang II , I reduce all the effects thru.. FUSE.
