Hi Kay, A good choice of tune. Well played, you have the "Jazz Feel" and it's not to be used sparingly (loved your outro) A good sound from your restrung toy....although I must confess that I preferred the sound of the strings you used for "Autumn Leaves", but that's just personal taste. I also bought a new toy this week...an electro classical, I was torn between an Ibanez and a Takamine, the Ibanez was a very pretty guitar with a Flamed Sycamore finish, but it sounded a little too bright for me, so I went with the Takamine. I'm not sure why they don't put marker dots on side or face of the neck on a lot of classical guitars, for me without is a bit like driving with my windscreen bricked up...I spent today remedying that with some 2mm diameter white plastic rod, a drill and some super glue ;D ;D Kind regards, Chris

HI Chris, many thanks for super comments I really do appreciate it,as far as the strings go the others were too bright for my taste with Jazz ...BUT...this thing has also a Tri sound switch...as well as the normal P/U switch the Tri sound switch can cut out half the selected humbucker and I can get the sound I had on autumn leaves at the flick of a switch yet still retain the more mellow tone of the new strings when needed. its marketed as "the Sound Chameleon" so I guess that says it all. as far as your new toy goes,I know you can do a great job with the drill, plastic rod and super glue..as we have seen with the "GRIP" but that would scare the life out of me drilling holes in a brand new guitar can we have a piccy when your done please?? hope you enjoy your new toy as much as I am with this one Best wishes Chris....Oh BTW I have a Neighbour with a Kango hammer if your windscreen goes...lol Kay

Hi Kay You are certainly a laid back chick on your new toy. I just love the mellow jazz sound, and the flat wounds certainly help the jazz songs. Whilst not familiar with this song, it was very relaxing and well played. Well done.

hi Kay, I just located and played Satin doll. excellent job! ,nice feel, nice tone, no gimmicks. geez I remember years ago around 1962 ,my first electric guitar, made in NZ and with flat wound strings, it was like playing a piano around my neck ,,Ive never used them since, but on the right guitar I have now learned something. This site of Charlie's is fantastic, with bringing all great guitarists together to share music and info.. Well done Kay I will look forward to hearing more of your tracks, best wishes Dave

Hi Kay - Sorry I missed this one when you first posted it. You've created a great Jazzy atmosphere the Double Bass, Piano, Drums played with brushes and your great sounding guitar. I haven't used flat wound strings since the '60's but they certainly give the right sound on this song. Congratulations on your great playing it was lovely to listen to. Cheers Phil

HI Phil, Many thanks for the great comments,I am glad you enjoyed it,sometimes thinking retro can work, and that's why I fitted flatwounds to this guitar as I wanted to get the smooth style of notes without the squeal you sometimes get when sliding on W/W's. best wishes Kay Hi J.J., Thank you for the lovely comments, and I am glad it brought back some pleasant memory's for you,and as you know my second love is Modern Jazz.especially Diana Krall.......(Elvis Costello's wife) so although she is a pianist/vocalist look out for one or two of hers...in Ibanez form in the future....... best wishes Kay ;D
