Hi Richie, There are Shadows clubs located around the country where members do meet up and play on a regular basis. I do not have details as I am not a member of any myself. Hopefully someone will have details of the clubs local to you. It might be the Northeast Shadows club or a similar name. Regards, Charlie

I think distance would be the real bugbear, trying to find somewhere central. No matter where you hold it it`s going to a stone`s throw for some and a two day camel ride for others. If you want to meet up on The Wirral, I`ll turn up

Hi all,
Using google, just type in 'shadowmusic' and the web site should come up. All the UK clubs are listed including my club at Watford. There is also some YouTube of our players.
Regards Peter

Hi All
For anyone interested, SW Shadows will be meeting at the Exeter Court Hotel, Kennford Nr Exeter (near M5) Sunday 31st May from 1:00m onwards. New players and people who just enjoy the music are welcome to come along.
Great venue with good parking, we have a professional PA and use backing tracks, as well as a full live band session. For those who are new to playing in front of an audience, there is an easing in "beginners session" before 2:00 pm, everything is very relaxed and club members will be only too willing to help you get started. It is also worth mentioning that we have excellent players of all ages from 12 years upwards, so don't worry about fitting in.
Charlie, our meetings are usually held at the end of the month, I'm sure the club would love to have you as a special guest if you're in this part of the world......
Gary

Hi Gary, I was gigging in Paignton a few weeks ago and the journey each way from where I am is around 5 hours, so it is a long way for me to travel, but thanks for the invite. I will have to see what I can do as time permits. Regards, Charlie

Tony, you're about 96 miles away from me - if there's someone halfway between Conwy and Aberystwyth maybe we could do something with at least three of us!

Hi Charlie & Friends, Interesting thread this one, and I'm sure there would be a lot more interest if traveling were not an issue, or if the occasion were worth marking in some way. Now just to add a twist, and I may well be out of line here, as I've not mentioned it to anyone, so stand to be put right and told off for the suggestion. I appreciate there may be many reasons why this may not be feasible, however I think there could be one very good reason for a one off get together whatever the format. I for one would like to say thank you to Charlie in person for allowing us Hank soundalikes/wannabees to get as close as our abilities allow through the use of his expertise in programming the various units we use and the advice freely offered on this forum. I understand Charlie is celebrating a significant event this year namely a birthday with a '0' on the end. It's just an idea, thought I'd mention it here, seems like a good reason/excuse for a get together Regards, Tim.

I'm down in Cornwall, it's a long drive to most places, it would be interesting to see if there are any others down this end of the country?

Hi Tim, You're right about the event. My birthday is however a week earlier (14/7 and not 21/7) than my profile states due to the person who set this site up for me using his own birthday instead of mine. However, I didn't want to celebrate it with a party of any kind and I have already told my family this. Maybe a date somewhere near that time for a meet wouldn't be out of the question though, but I really don't want the worry of arranging it all. Regards, Charlie
