If it's of interest to anyone, I've at last found a decent strat plate with a good gold finish. All the ones I've bought in the past have had lines showing through the plating, probably due to a rough or a poor finish. Making the plate have a brushed gold kind of a finish.
As I had already bought three "gold" jack plates all with the same poor finish, I asked at a couple of platers about getting a refinish. All who I asked had minimum order charges of around £35 making refinishing a gold jack plate out of the question.
After asking around, I was told to try CH Guitar parts who duly told me their plates looked good, so I ordered one. It came and guess what, it's brilliant. A jack plate with plating to match the rest of the stuff on the guitar at last.

Why not, everything else he does is spot on.
Although I think Charlie's got enough on with EFTP and his band.

I hadn't heard of CH parts before. With so many parts manufacturers around it is certainly good that there is a choice of parts today when years ago there was really nothing. The problem now is deciding what items are good out of what is available. Regards, Charlie
