''THAT-SOUND'' will I feel never die as long as this persist's ,so charlie & all,,,,, I hope you are in for the ''long-haul'' so to speak.. Its a good thing for the music industry ,amp's guitar's effect-unit's and so on This would be a world-wide trend I feel bringing 100's of new guitarist's onto the scene? ? as us baby-boomer's retire ? I more point is the up-coming ''shad's-cliff'' tour ,,,will get more people interested CHEERS ALL ,ESPECIALLY OUR GOOD FRIEND ''UK'' BRIAN.. barry..

Hi Barry
My brother is going on the "Cliff-Shads" tour later this year. I will settle for one day buying a Strat, hopefully before I retire and add to that number of Aussies getting Strats. The nearest I come to playing one is when my son lets me borrow his Squier for a while, which is not that often.
Regards Len

HI LEN I am not sure if that tour will come to ''OZ'' ,as I have asked the ''WA'' boy's who are in contact with hank marvin & they say ''it's up-in the air as yet.. Maybe they will see how well the over-seas show's go to see if it will be viable? ,It will be the last tour for shure and would be good to see the shad's side of the concert, for me at least!! Well len it does not have to be a fender any electric will do the job if all things are tweeked to suit... cheers mate.........barry..
