Hi Charlie
I've been trying to purchase an Edirol UM-1EX USB MIDI Interface device as required for the moment I purchase EFTP from you, however after approaching several suppliers I am being told this models is discontinued and the new version is the UM1G. The question: Will the UM1G allow me to install EFTP on a Alesis Q20 as required?

If I can jump in?
The edirol Um-2EX will do the same neat trick... It has two midi-outs, so you could load 2 alesis' at the same time with Charlies marvelous eftp!
Maybe the 2ex is still available?

Hi Tony, I think all Edirol products have been discontinued. They were a part of Roland, and I think the new UM1G has the Cakewalk brand, also part of Roland, so it should work fine. Regards, Charlie
