This nice little instrumental was written to celebrate the first overnight passenger train from Sydney to Melbourne in 1962. Before that Australia had different rail gauges New South Wales had British standard gauge, and Victoria had Irish broad gauge, you had to change trains at the state border what a mess haha www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCUmydBs8Ag www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_5IqyPvbCoMatthew
