Hi Barry, I am still using the Gemini III at gigs and it performs flawlessly. I find it totally satisfactory for Shadows and sometimes for other material too. I think that I will only be able to say much more after trying it for recording something later with a view to posting here. Regards, Charlie

I purchased a Gemini III a couple of weeks ago & it does what they claim. I only have it for home use but I find it does take you a step closer to 'That Sound' I don't regret the purchase

Hi John, I think in general it could be used for almost all the Shadows tunes up to the time when the top boost sound started to be heard, which I think would probably be Shindig. The old AC15 and AC30/4 from 1960, and also the new Heritage AC15 and AC30 models all have an EF86 channel with a brilliance switch. On the Heritage models the equivalent brilliance setting to the old models is setting 2. On any of these amps, the bass is already greatly removed and should not require the use of a further filter whether it be the Gemini or any other device that has a similar effect. The Gemini is useful on other brands and models of amps, and I think it would work especially well with the normal channel of the 6 input AC30 models. I use the stage 1 setting when I require the sound, stage 2 removes more bass and sounds very thin, and is more intended for warmer sounding guitars that includes those with humbuckers. Regards, Charlie
