Hi: Suddenly I'm listen a strange sound from my gear and I don't know where it comes from...If in my guitar, or in Q2 or in the Vox Heritage amp... It looks like frying..... Here the sample: app.box.com/s/zgud63kex4ck1dxgt7mu4cnd2u4v6jhxThe strange sound it's more audible at the end of note. I'm thanking in advance for some idea about it..... PS: Problem solved! (Sorry for my late reply. The problem was resolved....without nothing done. So suddenly as it came , it went away...You was right. Maybe some interference.... Thanks Charlie!)
Cheers from Brazil! Roberto

Hi Roberto, I do not think it is the guitar. Possibly a bad earth (ground) somewhere in your house wiring or extension sockets. Or interference from something else, such as a computer. Have you tried with just the guitar and the amp? Regards, Charlie

Thanks Charlie for your quick reply. I'd check with guitar directly on amp and the sound it's clear. So, maybe it comes from Q2. I have other devices on the line setup as Boss CS-2 (used in bypass as buffer), mic preamp and volume pedal.

Hi Roberto, Try adding one item back into the signal chain. Then remove it and try one of the others, and so on. Then add more than one, and so on. Maybe then you will discover which one is causing the noise. Why do you use a mic preamp? Unless it is for when you are recording? Regards, Charlie

Thanks Charlie. I'll check each one of itens and try to find from where comes the noise. My gear setup it's only for recording.

Hi Roberto, My thinking is that if there is a bad earth or ground, then the Q2 could cause interference with other equipment. I hope this helps to find the cause. Regards, Charlie

Roberto, it'll come back again. Intermittent problems are a pain to locate.

Sounds like either dirty switch tracking or dirty control pot on the guitar or the amp.
