Hi Charlie, just a couple of questions, your setting for foot tapper is the low level with the middle pick up, I notice if I use the neck pick up with the very low setting it sounds more like the record, I read somewhere it was double tracked in the studio recording? Also, your modern echo, is that based on the Korg 3000? Thanks Matthew

Hi Matthew, Guitars and amps vary so I can see how the neck pickup might be preferable in some cases. This is why I stopped suggesting pickup settings! I think Foot Tapper was double tracked by Hank playing it twice, probably once with echo and once without echo. I programmed the modern echoes to have a limited bandwidth so they have a more analogue type of sound. There is also a small amount of wow. I haven't seen a Korg 3000. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie, here is the the Korg 3000 here, it's a new pedal version of the rack version the Edge used in the 80s. It has a pre amp drive which the Hall and Collins also has. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFWfLSTzwv4 Yeah, I notice with foot tapper its sounds good with the middle or neck pick up now since I changed the caps, before that it sounded a little on the thin side if I used the middle pick up. I notice Hank uses the middle pick up for foot tapper Matthew

Hi Matthew, The delays sound good for what they are designed to do, but I didn't like the preamp drive. It's not the same as the Echo Drive in the Hall & Collins Signature Echo, which affects the drive only to the echo signal. Regards, Charlie
