www.ztamplifiers.com/products/Not sure if this has been posted before but I wonder if anyone knows anything about, or has an opinion of, this 200 watt amp the size of a lunchbox - hence its name? I know technology moves at a fast rate but surely a 200 watt amp powering such a small speaker cannot sound anything other than loud with no depth? My apologies if this has already been discussed.

Hi Martyn, I understand the 200 watt rating is for music power. RMS is a lot lower than that. I wouldn't be too excited. I think you would be righht about the depth too, but I have heard some small PA cabs lately that seem to have incredible bass for their size. Regards, Charlie

Hello ;D I was the one that posted a link about ZT amps. I have tried it and was amazed for a such small box...It really cranks up the sound..and if you link the output into two by 12 speakers you will be amazed... Perhaps some persons wil find it without warmth..it is all transistorized.. My friend that has bought one, has put a line 6 simulator before the input and naturally tried the AC30 simulation...he liked it. I would have put a small behringher or any other one tube preamplifier..but I have not tried it this way and I cannot tell.. But is should be good.. The amazing thing if you go to a rehearsal..the guys will think you are crazy only bringing a little amp. But they will be quiet once you play through it! And for the price..go for it...if not sure try it at some shop! Have fun Sheendigs
