Hi guys, I have been contacted by Kay about her ongoing problems and I promised to let you all know of any further developments.
It must have been very tiring just to let me know, but she is a modest lady who is a shining example of resilience over adversity. Kay has been through another regime of therapy, which she quantifies in her own humorous way. I have decided to publish all of her message as it best describes her situation at the moment. I have sent Kay my own personal reply and best wishes.
The following is Kays brave email to me:

Hi John,
well just where to begin, firstly I must thank you for your kindness and putting your thoughts on CH&F notice board about my condition, and although I did not expect it, nor was it expected of you, but, thanks again.
I did take a look after I received your e-mail, and was overwhelmed by the kindness and thoughtfulness within the messages I received from other members, brought me to tears, hopefully I will get on and thank them publicly.
Well, after much prodding, poking and pushing, and rolling me about like an old carpet they have found that the damage to my spine and nerves, and the ongoing pain and discomfort has been exaggerated by my own body's attempt to heal it's self, even after all these years.
Some parts of my vertebrae which were damaged in the accident have fused or welded themselves together (which they should not have done) trapping and damaging the nerves in the process, so they had to break free the fused bones in my back to try to release the pressure and free up the nerves, this was the cause of my right leg going dead, however the problems with my right arm and hand and to some extent left fingers as well as the debilitating headache's I get, is due to arthritis at the top of my spine (also due to the damage from the accident),.......... and my neck sounds and feels like somebody trying to open and close an old shed door when I move my head left or right, they have told me that it's almost certain that the bones will fuse together again because of all the spurs that are attached
Basically there is nothing more they can do, so no permanent fix, I have to keep using my T.E.N.S machine and they have put me on the strongest pain killers they can one step down from morphine patches, and of course a plan of exercises, (more hope than anything else) the pain has eased somewhat, but the headaches are still coming, about 3 or 4 a week and I get so tired, I think that’s down to the painkillers and just being worn out with the pain, all I have done with my guitars is dust them.
So that’s me about up to date for the moment I will let you know how things are a little later
typing is still a bit of a pfaff......duh, so this was done in stages. I will try to pop in as and when I can but I guess it will be sometime before Hopefully I'm back, but again I’m sure there will be more absences as time and deterioration goes on.
please accept my Kindest regards to you and all your family especially the members of CH&F for all the concern shown
Warmest wishes
Kay
