THANKS MATE ,,well not the whole of ''boob'' did ,but my family [3 sons & daughter & grandchildren gave me a surprise party in the old hall here & invited many old friends it was a very good night barry,, as I am 70 today there were 110 or so people there & a good time was had by all plenty of county-style food etc etc I got to bed at 4am this morning !!!talk about old bugga I felt it at that hour but had a ball!!!!

WELL Dick ,,,, believe me there were many many tinnie's & echo's consumed on the night mate ,but as I do not partake of the amber fluid myself [any alcohol] I seem to get drunk on the atmosphere ,as I am not a ''wowser'' I can mix with the anebriated fella's quite well unless they become ''opstroplis'' ha.haaar... [that meaning paralytic, p#*%ed to the eye-balls, raw-prawn's,absolute drongo's,go-yobbo,or troppo] etc ,,but every one had a very good time ..
I must say at the egg&bacon ,revival breakfast given in the morning to those who stayed the night & there was many ,there was a bit of ''hair-of-the-dog-cosumed '' & the odd hangover..

Now Barry I was watching that rather good film "The fastest Indian in the World" on tv last night & couldn't help noticing that the birthday party scenes for Burt looked as though they were shot at your local hall. In fact one of the extras looked surprisingly like you So Barry, have you got a "secret career" as a film extra that you've been keeping quiet about ? Do you have a bed in your shed so that you can get up at 5-30am to "rev up" your amps & entertain the neighbours ?? I'll not even ask if you have a lemon tree in the garden  Oh well, at least we have some of the Aussie sun here lately (unfortunately with Hong Kongs humidity !) I don't suppose I'll ever catch up to you now age wise mate as you've got a 6 year start on me ;D Keep smiling Dick. |
