Just a simple question this time.
Is the AC-AC 500mA HCSE power supply, regulated or un-regulated and would it harm the unit if is the one or a another ?
Cheers Rob

Hi Rob, The AC-AC power supply is unregulated. It is only AC-DC power supplies that can be either unregulated or regulated. You cannot use an AC-DC power supply with the H&C unit. It won't harm the unit, but it also won't make any sound! Regards, Charlie

Thanks Charlie,
That clarifies a lot, so no wonder I couldn't find it on the original power supply.... So a other AC-AC 500mA is always ok....

Hi Rob, You can go higher than 500ma. 1A is good. Regards, Charlie

Thanks Charlie,
Now I'm puzzled on the power supply , both power supplies supplied with both of my units reeds 500mA so I bought a spare one with the same specifications...
I'm building a new pedal board at the moment and I'm wondering if it's possible to take off the 4 rubber feet of the HCSE and put the screws back in....without damaging the unit....
Cheers Rob

Hi Rob, My prototype has a 500ma power supply. All I meant is that you can go higher and nothing will be damaged. I am not sure if the screws will damage something without the rubber feet as I don't have a production model yet to check. You could try asking through the support email support@hallandcollins.com but you will probably have to wait for a definitive answer as some of the people are on holiday until next week. Regards, Charlie

Hi Rob. With regards to removing the rubber feet from the HCSE. I've removed the rubber feet from my unit and replaced the screws so that I could put Velcro on the units base to enable me to secure it to my pedal board. No problems so far. Regards Dave

Hi Charlie & All,
Just checked the power supply on my H&CSE, I'm in the UK and it came with a 1A output.
Regards, Tim.

Charlie, thanks for your explanation regarding the power supply, I couldn't find a 1A AC-AC here btw, so I'm glad the unit works with 500mA also...
Dave, thank you so very much for your help, regarding the rubber feet...so I can do on my new pedal board what you did on yours.
Cheers Rob
