Hi JohnG, Almost anything where echo or delay on guitar would be used. Rockabilly, rock and roll, guitar instrumentals, classic rock, modern rock. Can't think of any others right now. It probably wouldn't be much use for classical or jazz guitar but jazz rock players like Larry Carlton have used delays so it is probably unfair to think about instances where it might not be useful. Regards, Charlie

Regards, Charlie I totally agree with you Charlie. One of my favorite jazz guitarists is John Abercrombie. His 1978 cuts for ECM label, album Characters, are wonderful. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVznsgMPs30

Hi alisap, Sorry, your video link does not work. Are there any others you can link to? I did find this track "Parable" from the same album: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVIcKZ8tXrkIt sounds like reverb with a fairly long decay time and a single tap delay with regenerations is evident at times later on. He does quite a lot of string bending in the earlier solo part! Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie,
Thanks for the Youtube link correction, "Parable" was exactly what I had in my mind !
regards, alisap.
EDIT: On this recording John Abercrombie plays the main solo on a Fender made solid body electric 4 string mandolin....
