Apropos absolutely nothing, for the last few days an advert for Freeview has been running on the Tele. I don't watch TV much these days - too much really awful - but this Ad has grabbed me. Visually its a stunning piece of animated "theatre" - quite unexpected, and to my eyes and imagination, VERY clever. But, its the music that's got me!! Basically its "I Dreamed A Dream" from Les Mis, at a slightly faster speed (maybe) and cut down to get it to fit the advert's premise. The key change "bridge" is missing, for instance. But its not your 'usual suspects' Singer. I did some research and found that it is a girl / woman called Sarah Kingsmill, of whom I have never heard. What a Voice! Stuff "X Factor" and "The Voice" - if we still have Talent like this, who needs programmes like that? The Full advert - as below - is 2mins 11 secs long (for cinemas?) but the TV version is cut down to 30 secs, or 1 minute depending on when its shown. www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_3hvReCrfkAnyone agree? Ian PS - I quite like the House OF Fraser Christmas ad ("You Don't Own Me") too but I'm not sure why!!!

Hi Ian, Like you I watch very little T.V. especially if I turn it on Very often the adverts are the most interesting. This one reminded me (visually) of a part of Pink Floyd... The Wall. Must agree the singing is good and pleasant to listen to. Regards, Tim.

I think I prefered Susan Boyle's voice.

Hi guys I like Susan Boyle - girl dun good - and she sings wonderfully but, for me, she has no emotion in her delivery. It's like "Singing Off Tab". If you want to hear this sung with total dedication, find the YT of Anne Hathaway singing it. Technically, not as " perfect " a delivery as SuBo, but Boy, what feeling she puts in to it. Raw!! And yes, I don't want any humbugs for Christmas either. Still got last years packet! Lol Ian
