A BIG HI TO DIDIER ,and all french member's I hope you all have a good day,, today ''bastiLLE' -day''. WHAT a very nice country is france ,,here in OZ ,I have been watching the ''tour-de-france'' & from the camera's in the helicopter's the countryside is beautiful, all of the very nice old castles ,churches etc etc .... CHEERS ...........barry.. Thanks Barry ! Watching the the "Tour de France" on TV is certainly a very good way to see the country. Often more interesting than the race itself... HI DIDIER ,,, You are right about the alp's the scenery is fantastic in the swiss section just last night ...
The bridges etc etc & the cascades of water falling from the cliff's !!!!& the helecopter view's are stunning!!

Barry, Today is rest day, but tomorrow there will be a great Alpine stage starting in Switzerland and going to France through Italy (Aosta Valley). The day after will be another Alpine stage in France, don't miss them ! Didier

Hi Barry, Didier, I've been to France several times ... fantastic place and as long as you wear the Aussie Kangaroo badge the locals speak English and are lovely. If they think you are "English", then, forget it. There are no tickets left and "sorry, only speak French". ;D ;D ;D Funny thing human tribes ... and the bigger the tribe the funnier it is (unless of course they have fanatical suicide bombers or nuclear weapons .. whew, time for another crack at "Man of Mystery" complete with hard parts !! ) Regards George

It always amuses me that the Americans seems to conveniently forget that without French money and backing they would have lost their War of Independence, also without the information given on enemy positions by ordinary French citizens, the invasion of the Normandy beaches would have been far worse.
