Hi all.
Due to the design of my house I have a small room at the front where my gear is and another room where the computer is stationed. Now unless I use a 30 foot lead in cannot sit in front of my confuser and play or try to. What I'm looking at is a wireless system for a reasonable price and works. Any ideas out there on what brands and what to buy. I have been checking the well known auction site and have missed out on a couple.
Regards John m

The best advice is don't go for cheap and cheerful, you do so at your peril. The Sennheiser EW372G2 and the Shure PGX are both excellent and I know work and there are others. But they ain't cheap. I am not convinced you can get a 'cable' sound out of them, but some are really bad. So if you don't want to pick up Taxi chatter and anything else going on at your local pub or Club, choose very carefully otherwsie you will be putting it on the well known auction site with the others. Do plenty of research.

Hi John, I have a Samson Airline 77 with the little bug but found it necessary to add a small extension cable with capacitor with the bug velcroed to the strap as without it the sound was too brittle for my taste. Seems to work OK and no quality problems so far. Have you considered a) Moving the confuser or b) Taking over more of the house ;D ;D Regards George

George. The cook is shining at the moment, some real good tucker coming out of the kitchen so afraid to mention such things. Heading for Nashville Nov 1 so will have a look around. Waiting for a pm from JC when he gets back with an order. He has asked if I traveled light ? Thanks all for your input John M

I use a True Diversity wireless system. Cost under £100, and I get the same sound as through cable. Transmitter is a bug with swivel jack-plug. The only problem I have had with this system is the plug which can unscrew itself if you are plugging and unplugging often into different guitars, and if it does this it can disconnect from the wires. The system is being repaired under warranty at the moment for this very fault. When I get it back I intend to seal the plug so that it doesn't unscrew itself. Apart from that, I am very happy with it.

What I'm looking at is a wireless system for a reasonable price and works. The cheapest available is certainly this one : T-Bone EWS 16GTDidier

Hi John, I run a Samson CR 77 and have not experienced any of the aformentioned problems, in fact the only problem ( if it is one ) is one of my own making, I forget to replace the batery at times, and believe me the ensuing noise is never in the right key Ha Ha . I would recomend this unit to anyone, also you get a choice of transmiter dependant on type of guitar plug. good hunting
