I know its been said before and goes against what SHOULD be right BUT try changing the Joyo from its (presumably) POST H&C unit position to PRE H&C. I did that for the same reason and no hum or buzz now. Dunno why - just is! Worth a punt? IAn

Hi Fulham,
If both pedals work correctly on their own then surely it must be the connection between the two.
I run mine after the H&CSE without a problem.
Regards, Tim.

Must admit I'm stumped for the moment. Let's see what happens after you try it the other way. Regards, Charlie

Had this buzzin problem with different equipment and it was solved with a ground connection "somewhere down the line". Usually this goes through the AC plug on some of the connected equipment. Just a thought Leif

Hi Fulham, Can you let me know more about your 9 volt adaptor? Is it regulated 9 volts or is it one of those noisy switch mode supplies? Regards, Charlie

Hello Fulham, I have a Joyo AC tone pedal, run it after the H&C pedal, no problem and only using cheap basic cables. Geoff

Thanks Ian will try that tomorrow BTW - I run mine on 9v Battery (Duracell). If you are on mains, try battery and DO try it at both sides of the H&C chain. V interested to see your results. Ian

Hi Charlie & Ian Have put a 9v battery in the Pedall still loud buzzing but have now moved the pedal to the front of the H&C and back to the adaptor and buzzing has stopped there is just a very very slight hum will this be ok to leave it as it is now? Thank you Charlie & Ian for your time and help. Never thought of putting in front of H&C as every one says its not the dun way. Thanks every one for you help and just to say what a great bit of kit the H&C is. Cheers Fulham

Hi Fulham, Thanks for confirming the 9 volt adaptor is regulated and for trying with a battery. Glad to know the hum is not now a problem with the change of order. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie & Friends,
I have seen 9v regulated power supplies that were not, not easy to tell by what is written on the box.
Regards, Tim.
EDIT:- I said regulated I was thinking isolated... ooops

Not directly relevant but I had a terrible noise on the pedal circuit which I initially blamed on a new pedal I had just fitted.
It turned out that it was because I had disconnected my Vox amp to use it's power socket for the new pedal, albeit temporarily - the buzz disappeared when the Amp was plugged in again.
My Joyo AC Tone is also ok just after the HCSE.
Weird business

Hi Mike,
The AC Tone pedal is a sort of amp simulator which reproduces the tone of the Vox AC amplifiers. They are also very reasonably priced at around £30.
Best regards,
Maurice.
