Hi All, Hank mentioned he used a Gretsch around 1961 on the records Nivram and A Girl Like You. We believe this is the guitar he used: www.alturnertivemusic.com/my-1959-gretsch/Although the owner and Hank did discuss the guitar on a phone in radio show, it would be nice to know if this is true. If anyone has any suggestions on how to go about confirming this, please let me know. Thanks

Hi all, owning myself a Country Gentleman, I can say the information about the interview is true. Hank sold his Gretsch 6122 which was walnut colour and single cutaway, not red. I think, all the single cutaways are walnut. I bought mine directly from Gretsch-senior about 2002 and Gretsch fitted the beauty with the almost original Pickups from TV-Jones-Classic. Listening to the radio-interview was amazing, and Hank said that this was his spare-guitar and don‘t wanted to use it anymore. Although the sound of his solo in „A Girl Like You“ is breathtaking.
