Hi everyone, Just needing some advice again , playing Wonderful Land with the Hall & Collins Signature Echo , I seem to think Charlie said most times to keep all settings at 3 o, clock for most songs . I'm Just wondering if some of those setting should be changed , has anyone tried to change playing Wonderful Land and other Shadow songs . Set up is .... Fender Strats.. Hall & Collins Signature Echo .. Vox AC 30 VR .
Thanks Roger .

Hi Roger, Certainly. The recommended 3 o' clock settings are for those who want to keep it easy. The controls are there for those who want more control over their sound. I like to increase the distortion somewhat with the Echo Drive control (and reduce the Echo Level by a smaller amount to keep the dry signal and echo signal balance relatively about the same at it would be with the 3 o' clock settings). I also like to increase the Wow & Flutter level. Regards, Charlie

I know it's a different beast altogether but I understand Charlie's preference for doing this. I like the sound of a slightly older tape on my Ese Echomatic for the with a higher drive level, it's feels and sounds more alive to me. I've not used a signature echo (once I have the funds I will get one) only heard the many great soundfiles on the site but I imagine the unit will react in the same way.
Thanks
Scott

Hi Scott, Funny you should say that but when I tried an ESE it did react in exactly that way, at least to my ears. Regards, Charlie
