Hi All
I have been on the Vox website and forum to try and get an editor for my desktop Tonelab.
The problem is I use Vista, and the software on the Vox site seems to be for XP.
I have asked the question on the Vox forum but I have not had any replies.
Can anyone help please?
Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan
I quite happily ran the Tonelab editor under Vista with no problems, I did have trouble with a particular midi interface (can't remember the name) VOX Technical recommended an M-Audio UNO, which works superbly.
Looking at their web site, the LE and ST have drivers for Vista, if you have problems with another model you could try using Vista compatibility mode, but I think you will find it just works.
Hope this Helps,
Gary

Hi Gary
Well I am confused. The Vox website has an editor for Tonelab, desktop model, but the requirements only go as far as XP.
Are you saying that this will run under Vista? Or should I try a different one that is compatible with Vista?
Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan
I think that you will find the editor will probably run under Vista if your midi interface is compatible, but if it does not, Vista has a backward compatibility mode that may well do the job. I don't run Vista now, but from memory Left click the .exe file of the editor and select compatibility from the properties.
Worth a try, you can easily uninstall the editor if there is a problem, alternatively set a restore point before loading it. Hope this helps.

Hi Alan If you want to check things out with VOX UK first you can get Tech Support between10:00 am and 12:30 pm, weekdays: www.voxamps.com/contact/I did try to find out for you but their line had just closed for the day, I have always found them to be very helpful. Gary

Many thanks Gary.
I reckon if the forum won't answer, there must be a problem or such an easy solution it's not worth answering.
I'll try tomorrow.
